Yes, I believe that there is an essentiality of research in Jyotish. I have been practising and exploring Jyotish for over 17 years and furnishing consultations as well. Even after more than 17 years of understanding, I still feel that there are many concepts and matters that I am totally unaware of. Thus, researching helps the Jyotish to explore new practices and remedies to deal with an issue. Many years ago, we used to consider the Bhrigu Sanhita, which is a high-level analysis of Jyotish. The interesting thing here is that no one has comprehensively accomplished this to date. It is a vast field of study, and the more you explore, the more you feel you need to explore double that you have done till now.
